Only thing worse than this Congress is the possibility that the next one may not be better

I'd love to see a line item veto. These bills are too big and packed with too much pork an unrelated crap.

The primary job of Congress is to pass a balanced annual budget. The last time they actually did so, was 1996 under President William Jefferson Clinton.

So, when was the last time someone here on the board worked for 29 years and didn't do their primary job through that stretch, and still remained employed and giving themselves pay increases for doing such a "good job"? Seriously, there are a handful of people that were in Congress for 12-20 years, retired with multi-millions of dollars in generational wealth, and never once executed their primary function.

You can certainly call that worthless. Also, depending on your perspective, you can call it smart for taking advantage of a system that exists because your employer doesn't hold you accountable.
