Debt is always a problem. It’s more of a political football than it is a problem here today, but once China overtakes us as the global leader it will be a huge issue if we don’t get it under control.

It’s real. It’s also leverage against China if they choose to go to war. But if Biden keeps sending money and oil to his sons partners it might be a problem

Fake problem and waste of time.

Well it’s fake as long as we are the strongest military on the planet. You can’t get it back if we threaten to kill your.

So as long as we can kick your arse then it’s a fake issue.

Complete economic collapse brought about by absurdly unsustainable debt, a move to another monetary system like the Yen, or a much more nefarious global system that takes it’s place. If you think there’s a supply chain problem now, then wait until you see the fallout from that one.

Worry, yes. We are all pretty much helpless to do anything about the inevitable fall, but prepping for the unforeseen is something you can do to stave off the effects on you and your loved ones for the immediate future at least.

It's a huge problem.

Mostly put off for now only because of the petro dollar.

If that get supplanted we almost instantly become Venezuela.

Somewhat but at the end of the day if you don’t have the muscle to collect then a debt isn’t a problem.

If I loan you money and there is no chance I can physically harm you then does it matter if you pay me back?

Also even if real it’s not like anyone could do any thing about this.so no need to worry about it.

It's not a problem until other people don't want our dollars and assets. In the short term it's hard to unwind when all of this dollar denominated debt abroad needs to still be paid off. It's basically like a drug addict affect. We force feed them with dollars so they take it.

There will be a debt crisis at some point that will lead to forced austerity.

If this happens, I believe it will end up being a good thing.

The debt doesn’t just “go away”. You just change who has to pay for it.
