Trust me I worked in high levels of Texas Republican politics for the past couple of years before moving to California. I can count on one hand the number of times someone has said anything positive about him in my circles. I’ve never heard Rick say one positive thing about the guy and that’s saying a lot from the #1 statesman in the country.

Cruz is an unsavory character that has some skeletons in his closet. Alleged infidelity being one of them. The demographics in Texas are rapidly hanging and coming off of Jones’ win in Alabama the Dems are emboldened. If there is potential for a major upset and Dem flipping a seat it’s Cruz’s. They will pull out all the stops and trot out Barry and the like on a much, much larger scale then they did in Alabama. Beto O’Rourke is a great candidate to face Cruz. Democrats in Texas and soon to be throughout the country love O’Rourke.
A ideal scenario would be Lyin Ted replaces Kennedy on the SC and Rick takes Cruz’s Senate seat. No one is going to dethrone the King of Texas.
