I think this bull shite Colorado along with the current administration refusing to protect our nation and do its duty to control the border puts us a whole lot closer to secession than many care to realize

Been WAY past the time for that.

We don't have to leave your precious union to make you suffer. Deplorable truck drivers refusing to deliver supplies to your dystopian utopias will starve you bastards to death in short order.
How long do you think that power and fuel will stay on when bubba and his friends decide to cut your supplies? Start this fight and be damned.

Folks aren't going to walk away from social security.

Roughly 30 percent of American adults didn't even bother to vote for president. Another 30 percent voted out of habit, and another 30 percent voted but didn't allow the results to impact their mood one way or the other.
That leaves about 10 percent who find religiosity in politics and attach their sense of identity and their sense of purpose to their political beliefs. This 10 percent is JUST bat shite crazy enough to think there's a real appetite for secession and civil wars and other keyboard soldier political LARPER daydreams here in America.

Counterpoint:
I don't want civil war or drama of any sort. At the same time, I think it's absurd to cry anti-Americanism every time someone raises the issue that considerably contingents of the country have next to nothing in common and a sizable swath loathes all the stuff we'd traditionally put on a "Why I'm an American" pamphlet.

Sure, secede. Then America can impose tariffs on your exports, and you can grovel for a trade deal with America. Good luck to you as you beg China to prop you up.

It does seem kinda pointless to stay in a toxic marriage. There isn't anything left to salvage from this failed experiment. We need to split the assets and go our separate ways before this turns into a war of annihilation that will not be kind to those of the urban, coastal persuasion.
If you're a responsible America First/MAGA patriot who handles their business and doesn't rely on the government for subsistence there is no benefit to being in the current arrangement with the Dim/Groomer faction of American society.
America First/MAGA is disproportionately footing the bill for the Fundamental Transformation of America through taxation, we're losing representation and then there are these leftists who want a purely popular vote election so CA, NY, Illinois, WA, OR, CO, MN, PA, WI and other North Eastern states can run roughshod over the Heartland and the South.

Well put, but I'll have to disagree with you on the nothing in common part. I think that 99 percent of Americans have 99 percent of things in common. Spending too much time staring at your phone. Kids. Traffic. Crazy family members. Grocery stores. Brushing your teeth. Vacations in the summer. Worrying about money. Christmas coming up. Unless you're a hermit in the mountains or a complete deadbeat in a singlwide or the housing projects, the American Experience is largely the same.
