Is it just me, or does pride month seem to be slightly down this year

It's out there, but it doesn't seem as in your face to the degree it has been the past couple years. Maybe companies noticed the success of the BL and Target boycotts, and told their woke HR girls to reign it in this year.

It absolutely is so far. There was a thread yesterday about how a lot of big corporations haven’t changed their logos to the rainbow buklshit.

I noticed it as well, and then I heard someone on the radio mention it and realized it wasn't just me. Most of the rainbow logos are notably absent.

They should be overjoyed; cheap TransLite to drink and only about 12 people in Target.

I don’t know the cause, but you’re right. It’s way more subdued this year. I’ve yet to see a commercial about it.

The closet door is beginning to open. The closet has been remodeled and is ready to be occupied.

I feel ya.

If it is indeed the case, I think—pure speculation on my part—it can be attributed to three causal factors:

(a) Gays recognize they’re more accepted than decades ago, during which time they perceived a struggle for acknowledgement.

(b) The evident split between the LGB and the TQ+ factions of the community that’s occurring. Based on observations (I have no data to back my claims), it seems they are redefining/examining the Pride zeitgeist. For a measurable percentage of the LGBTQ community, the need for a discrete month to buttress their existence is waning.

(c) A large faction of society—gays included—are over it.

First time I feel that corporate America is feeling the wrath of the anti-woke. What happened to Bud Lite has apparently put a lot of companies on notice.

We have had a pride crosswalk in town for 5-6 years, its been removed this year.

I expect it to be repainted but its been a week, hopefully its gone for good. What an eyesore.

If you mean on TV or internet, I'm not sure if it's down or not.
If you mean IRL, I haven't seen any indication of pride month in my life. But I live in conservative land.
Hell, even our Starbucks only put up a little rainbow banner in April with no words and now it's been taken down right in time for pride month.

I've noticed the logos of former employers on my linkedin profile hasn't changed. A couple of businesses I've worked for were all in on pride month in the past.

What I’m curious about is how the corporate group think works. There had to be some entity that advised the big corps to tone it down.

Hard to believe each company individually made the decision to not do the rainbow logos.

Yeah the ones that are losing all the money. Like others have said I think it's a combo of people finally getting sick of it to the point we're obliterating them financially, and also the split from the decent every day LGBT people that just want to live their lives. It's not just gay people being put off by this current iteration of "trans", it's other trans too. There are plenty of LGBT people who don't scream and shout about themselves and are sickened by what's going with this push on minors. As they should be

I'm going to Austin FC game tonight. That will be the barometer for me.
