Is it a wise business decision to possibly piss off half your customers?

Watching football and they are running the Kaepernick commercials. I mean they have made this guy the face of Nike. So they risk alienating about half of their customer base, and Many of those with more money than the inner city minority customers the commercial would appeal to.

Either way it’s an insane risk, why risk it

They know that most the people offended by it won’t stay mad forever and will eventually start buying their products again.

Was a great move to rally their base and people like me got pissed but still wear their products. I thought about not buying them in the future but meh... why carry that burden. I like their shoes damnit.

Can't stand Kaepernick and his "personal" message is bullshite, but there's nothing wrong with the commercial.

I wish Republicans would take this to heart and go ahead and confirm Kav, right now.

I think they will start effecting Nike when certain customers buy their next pair of shoes.

But what about the NFL?

Ticket sales and viewership going down?

ESPN? Are they still laying people off?

Maybe the NFL should get another company to make their uniforms

or that the people who are offended by it, middle aged and older white men mainly, weren't their target audience in the first place

Doesn't earn them a dime. Don’t confuse stock price and revenue.
