When you have a firearm and fight with federal agents you lose.

Can you legally carry a gun in Minnesota?

That’s the only question here.

Whether the gun was unloaded or he had 15 magazines, doesn’t make a difference.

No it's not

In Alabama you can't bring a gun to a protest

That’s not my thinking at all. You have the situation completely inverted

ICE are legally and legitimately using their positions of power to apprehend illegals.

WTF was the violent mob that attacked Kyle doing, other than threatening shop owners, destroying property and assaulting him?

You can't possibly equate BLM rioters to what ICE are doing.

He had no ID on him…so how would anyone know.

I get it, you want foreign criminals to vote without ID, but bringing a weapon to a protest without any form of ID seems unwise to me.

Well, the subject in Minnesota, and it's not illegal to carry a gun to a protest, might not be the best choice, but not illegal.

Millions of people carry handguns every day without incident.

Using a handgun to threaten federal law enforcement has nothing to do with concealed carry.

There was a protest. He was present. He wasn’t arrested for carrying. The question was can you open carry at a protest? He’s an example of doing just that.
Did I condemn him? Did I defend the guy in Minnesota? I did neither so attacking me isn’t the answer.

Using a handgun to threaten federal law enforcement will and should get you shot, but that's not what seems to have happened today.

No, he was armed during a literal riot and defended himself when attacked.

Inflated ego of someone who's likely never (rarely?) shot a gun thinking he's going to get that many shots off against feds.

1) Minnesota is NOT a constitutional carry state.
2) A permit is required in order to carry a pistol/sidearm in public (although it is a "shall issue" state.)
3) The Minnesota Concealed Carry permit doe not have a photo of the individual on the card/document (see photo below). It is valid only if the individual carrying the permit and a firearm has a government issued identification in the form a a driver license, passport, or state issued ID on his person while carrying a firearm publicly.

4) The individual who was carrying a weapon and was shot and killed by CBP during a legal and constitutional operation conducted by ICE did not have the requisite identification on his person at the time and was thus in violation of Minnesota law as related to carrying a firearm in public.

Those who are shrieking about his 2A rights being violated need to take that up with the Minnesota State Legislature who enacted the concealed carry laws of that state. Until then they haven't a leg to stand on.
