Their AZ poll a couple weeks ago over polled dems by like 11 percent. I don't know why they are this bad.

Shaw & Associates conducts these polls. They conduct the polls and sell the desired top lines to various outlets willing to purchase them.

Polling is not done for free. It's done to give a product to sell to clients, clients who are interested in a certain outcome of the poll to push whatever narrative is needed to be pushed.

Sorry if already posted but I’ll just put it in here in case it was already posted on main board. Trafalgar is a reliable pollster. They have proven 2016 and 2018 results to back that up. They released a poll out of MI today and Trump is leading. I’ve heard over and over MI is supposed to be the least likely state Trump wins this go round of states that that he won in 2016.

In an era where everything from academia to the NFL is political, am I to believe something as overtly political as polls isn’t tainted with partisan bias?!?!?

Polling is a business. A lot of people think pollsters only pop up every 4 years to measure presidential elections.

Most polling business is actually conducted for other businesses, non profits, and so on. For example some environmentalist organization pays a polling firm to conduct a poll showing that most people support the environmental restriction they are pushing for. Pollster conducts poll, generates the pre-determined result that the environmentalist poll wants, and sells it to them.

What the customer is paying for is NOT a poll conducted in an unbiased manner. They are paying for the right to use a poll conducted by the polling outlet and the polling outlet's name to make it appear that the poll they are citing for their movement is credible.

They are literally paying for credibility.

That's how polling works, even political polling. The cucks at FOX News like Paul Ryan want a poll showing Biden way ahead? They pay Shaw & Associates to conduct the poll showing just that. They are paying for the right to use Shaw & Associate's name with the poll so they can claim the poll was done unbiasedly and is credible.

Yeah Biden up 5 in Ohio and 7 in Pennsylvania is why he’s spending all his time in the rust belt.

If he were really up 5 in Ohio and 7 in PA he would be in states like Georgia and Texas and playing offense.

Exactly. They love to say Texas and Georgia are going blue but he hasn’t spent a second there.

Why would Fox do this? I get CNN, but Fox viewer base is 99 percent Trump supporters.

The people who run FOX News are progressive leftists. They are just as invested in promoting a "TRUMP SUCKS" and "TRUMP CANT WIN" narrative as the others.

They are voter suppression polls. They over sample Democrats by double digits and they fail to factor in Trump voter will refuses to be accurately polled.

They’re basically garbage.

They're a media company. They make money from ads.

They get more ads if they keep it close in the polls to make candidates spend more.
