But what about the war of the worlds law suits Rispone has against his neighbor, think MMR, and counter suits likewise, in the CCLA over a hedge row ?

Rispones only chance is south of I-10..... Now i will vote for him if he edges out Abraham. But i don't see him doing that desite his large war chest.

I guess you didn’t take the time to watch the video. Mr Rispone said HE/business had been working “hard for years” at reforming education and it was going well... so well, that other states were wanting to know what we(Louisiana) was doing... and yet here we are, still at the bottom. Mr. Rispone’s ed reform has gotten children and the taxpaying citizens nowhere... and yet he has profited bigly from those reforms. It appears that you might be one of those uniformed voters.
It was going well until Edwards took over and we dropped to last place.
And doesn’t everybody profit from s well educated work force?
I’d rather a self made man from NBR run the state than a career politician from a political clan.

Eddie Rispone has had more threads about him on the TigerDroppings poliboard in the past month than Ralph Abraham does.

Exactly!

speaking against legislation to repeal Common Core. That’s right... he was/is a huge supporter of the federal standards and is disliked by many because of this.
Go to minute 6:30
No one, and I mean no one, in Louisiana, has any got damn room to talk about education standards, considering how pathetic our state standards were before common core was adopted.
When your school systems are last in the country and are producing high school grads that need remedial college classes, the feds should be able to come in and tell you what to teach. Because, clearly, we couldn't figure it out.
At this point, the only people still complaining about it are:
1) People who really believe the feds should not have any involvement (well, if LA could get their shite together, then maybe)
2) People who have not taken the time to learn about what it actually is, and does.
Rispone has probably hired a lot of LA public school grads. If he doesn't want to repeal CC, that's good enough for me.

We know what we have with JBE and we kinda know what we have with Abraham. Rispone is interesting, he's not well known but he has some interesting potential. It's natural that people are going to ask about him.
The Mike Foster years were pretty damn good, relatively speaking, and that's the last time we had a businessman in the governor's office. Since then, we have had, career politician, wanna-be career politician, and career politician.

he suburban Mom in La universally hates Common Core. They cant tell you what it is, in that point you are correct, but they hate it
I can tell you why they hate it. Because they are too stupid to understand it.
Look, I'm an educated person and there have been some homework assignments that my kids bring home, and my first response is "Huh??". But then I spend 5 minutes on the internet, figure out what the assignment is / what the model is / what the method is, and then I explain it to my kids, they are good, and I've learned something.
Suburban mom can't get off Facebook long enough to figure it out and help their kid.

Great post, could Not agree more.

Good thing there is a runoff.

It won’t be long before shills from Gumbo PAC and other trial lawyers dust off their TD accounts and pose as conservatives and bleat about how JBE is “conservative” and Abraham and Rispone are really “RINOs”.
Got a phone survey today for LA Gov.
After I had clearly identified political leanings, I was asked if the runoff was Rispone and JBE would I be persuaded to vote for JBE if information was released that Rispone’s company takes advantage of immigration loopholes he claims he’s against

While some here dismiss the Rispone campaign as sophomoric, obviously JBE’s people don’t and are doing what they do.
Good stuff golfer

You forgot "I will fight against those liberal lunatics"
My wife and I get a kick out of that one every time. He's so clueless, this state needs less divide and more work together.

Wow. We all know polls are rigged in favor of who is paying for them, but I don't think I've ever seen such a blatant attempt like that. Damn.
And look... total honestly... he's a contractor. Willingly or not, the odds are he has hired illegals, either directly or via subs, in the past.

Rispone needs to start speaking to relevant issues. I don't know where he stands on anything state specific. Pro Trump tells me little.
Abraham needs to get on the ball and spend some money. I have more confidence in him, as he has a record, and I know his stances.

That is a pretty big issue. If he is saying round em up and ship em out, as he is providing their livelihood, how can he maintain any credibility?

In fairness it was a 15 minute, very detailed poll. But the last few questions were related to “potential” ads and if they would sway me from voting for a candidate.
The poll was either issued by Rispone or JBE based on the totality of the questioning.
