Comey’s testimony in 2020 re-affirmed the entirety of his prior testimony, which included a number of false statements on a variety of topics. You and your fellow liberals are ignoring this. None of us except the grand jury know exactly how the DOJ presented their case and which false statements were the focus.

If you simply phrased the question "Did they choose to go after the one lie among many that DIDN'T hurt Trump because that gives them cover against the argument that Trump personally directed this?", you'd likely have your answer.

Who cares what evidence was presented to the Grand Jury? What was Comey charged with???

It was whether or not he authorized leaks by one specific person in the investigation of another specific person. I took the time to do the research to figure out that it was referring to authorizing....here I am wasting my time reasoning with you as if facts mattered to you.

Cheers.

Who cried at that??? I said from the beginning that Abrego Garcia should have been deported by the Trump immigration judge in 2019.

You are a lying moron.

Well, I never said you specifically deny Ashley Biden’s accusations, sorry if you felt that way. All I said is there is a massive contingent that will believe lies coming from one side and disregard even the notion of wrongdoing by the other. And therefore, Comey’s false accusations aren’t really a boon for Trump. I do see where you are coming from if you meant it helped solidify his base and help flip some of those on the fence.

My point at the end of the day - would we even be anywhere close to this situation if Comey didn’t commit the crime(s) he’s indicted for? Maybe not. But chances are, they’d probably fabricate some other nonsense that would lead us all to the same scenario we are in today.

If you are MAGA, cheers to it and I’ll take back my “your party” statement. But let us not forget that the other side of the coin is not rational, and I don’t feel your stance is either.

Thanks for posting Bunk. I thought I was crazy at first when I realized that the indictment didn't have anything to do with RussiaGate.

Cheers. We'll see if my stance is rational.

It is about whether or not Comey authorized McCabe to leak the Clinton emails story to the Wall Street Journal. Even according to McCabe, Comey didn't "authorize" that leak: he approved of it AFTER it happened.

You keep coming back to the premise the indictment is about one specific Comey lie to one specific person. It isn't.

For example, Comey made claims re: FBI handling of Carter Page (Central to Russiagate). That testimony appears duplicitous. Will it comprise part of the perjury or obstruction case? Who knows? But it certainly might.

Richman was working for the FBI until 2017. He was apparently cleared by Comey to leak information in several instances. If that pans out, it represents a bald-faced lie by Comey to Grassley's Committee in 2017.

Cruz also reexamined the 2017 Grassley testimony, getting Comey to reaffirm it in 2020 and potentially restarting the SOL clock on those older statements which Catherine Herridge has covered.
