No. But it's more important than any other sport.

It would appear that you're playing the "pretend to not know things you obviously know" game.

People of all political stripes have basically a max appetite for things. Think of it as on a scale of 1-10 with the most egregious examples you brought up being in the upper near 10 and singing the damned anthem as basically about a 2.

Most people fully understand that any large event will have people and attributes that aren't from their way of thinking. That's normal, to be expected and few care.

You seem to want to include ALL of that category so you can say, "this has always happened" which is just disingenuous. Not, THIS has not ALWAYS happened.

Even your response to my musician point was dishonest because it again pretends there's no such thing as matters of degree.

We can't have a normal conversation if you abandon all reality to lump the 10s in with the 1s.

Not anymore. I'm starting to see it as the gladiators of the Roman empire. Something to distract me from the empire crumbling around me.

Yes. I at least get something out of college football.

Politics is just mental masterbation and venting that makes zero difference in outcomes. It’s just paying attention while they f$&k you rather than taking the roofie and letting them have their way with you.

Hell no. I love college football, but that’s to beguils time and take my mind off the real world every now and then. Politics is what decides if we can control our quality of life.

College football is just a game played by kids, who wins or whether the game is played at all has zero effect on life. Politics iate directly related to legislation, and other decisions by government that can have a direct and long lasting effect on my life.

They have killed it. Covid and then supporting the riots and now $$. Each SEC team is a multimillion dollar franchise employing professional athletes. Total turnoff now! The golden goose has been incinerated and I don't think I'll be back ever again. In addition, i will be raising my progeny away from it.
