I know he’s still a liberal but lately (the last year) he has been taking The Left to task on more and more issues. Maybe it’s a clear sign the end of the world is near.

The left is moving away from him, same as Elon said a couple weeks ago.
Maher will never be right wing, or even centrist. His personal politics aside, he has to appear to be a leftist for his livelihood.

Maher made a few statements on his panel with John mcwhorter and Andrew yang and then again on Ben Shapiro’s podcast about exactly where he stands.
While he hates the virtue signaling and woke crap, he ultimately only cares about policy & substance, and his views are aligned with the left. His major issue is environmental, and he would consider voting Republican if they changed their stance on climate change.

I really like him and he is about as logical as you can find on pointing out the maniacs on both sides. He would cater to us 70 percent in the middle.
