Is Bel Edwards genuine when it comes to the abortion fight or is he pandering?

It's extremely unlikely many Democrats would break ranks over the abortion issue, but it is likely he knows how much this will be a wedge issue for him in an election year.

I think he may be personally against it, but I think he's probably only professionally against it because he's a Democrat in Louisiana rather than a Democrat in a liberal state.

He's garbage. Unless his republican opponent supports 3rd term abortions (he won't), I sure as shite won't vote for JBE. I honestly didn't give a shite/think about abortion until the Dems went batshit about it, and their insanity won't change my opinion of JBE.

I saw an opinion article out of the Ouachita Citizen where Trump wants Steve Scalise to run for the governor's seat

JBE is such a great man. He will go down as one of Louisiana’s best governors ever once he completes his second term. And yes he’s pro life and I respect his position even though I’m pro choice. Too bad most here can’t get past the (D) next to his name
