I don’t think anyone is truly bothered by it. That’s their game to get offended at “mean words”. But the fact it came 2 days after MSG and the MSM losing their collective shite over a joke is what is funny.

I think 2 things can be true:

1. What he said was not “presidential”

2. If you are honestly offended by it you are a pussy.

Bothered? Not particularly.

But it highlights the hypocrisy of getting upset about a roast comedian telling jokes vs the President of the goddamn United States calling half the nation “garbage”.

Bingo!

The COMEDIAN'S joke suggested PR was a "floating pile of garbage". Not that the people were "garbage" but that the country, in general, was unkempt with trash/litter/rubble everywhere.

On the flip side you have the (technically) sitting President calling several million US citizens "garbage". He's not saying Trump supporters litter and don't keep up the landscape/infrastructure of their home towns. He's disparaging PEOPLE as "garbage"

It just illuminates the absurdity of the factions of this country trying to govern efficiently and productively as one

Because I certainly think those who support extermination of the unborn, manipulating children into fulfilling woke fantasies via suicide cult, etc. to be "garbage."

It bothers me that the political rhetoric has gotten so far down that 1/2 or more of the population being called deplorable, garbage, Nazis, vermin, etc by the president or major candidate for president doesn’t bother people.

It doesn't bother me personally. However, Dems are a clown show for the last 16 years of talking about:

"People who cling to their bibles and guns"

"Deplorables"

"Garbage"

And then portraying themselves as some kind of cultured people uniting the country.

It’s been out in the open since 2015. It was more discreet in prior years, but it was still there.

I certainly am due to the message it sends to our children. My daughter, little Susie, of only year 3, heard the president’s comments. Susie came up to me and said, “papa, papa, why does President Biden think we are garbage, papa? Are we garbage papa? How does the leader of the free world demean his people like this papa?” What am I supposed to tell little Susie?

(Am I doing this right?)

Classic Marxist game. When their opponent or opponent adjacent entity says something remotely bad about anyone, absolutely smash them with it. When they say something bad about anyone, make the conversation about everyone. It's another flavor of Republicans pounce. No surprise OP would carry this water.

Nope. I’m bothered by his presence in the WH. His sorry arse needs to be in a nursing home eating jello.

Nope. Garbage would be the nicest thing I could call him and his supporters. No quarter asked, none given.

It definitely wasn’t Presidential. And it was more than the babbling of a dementia ridden geezer, he honestly believes it. And Democrats as a whole honestly believe it.

Are people legitimately “offended”? Probably not. They’re just tired of being demeaned, called garbage, Nazis, fascists, racist, bigots, homophobes, transphobes, conspiracy theorists, etc, etc.

It’s disgusting. Go on Twitter, find a liberal tweeting those descriptions about conservatives, ask them to describe what makes Trump/conservatives fascist, Nazi, etc.

You’ll either get crickets for a response, or they simply block you. They’re incapable of answering.

Most the Dem supporters I have contact with are elitist (in their minds). Also....most have zero common sense.

So when Dem leaders talk of the GOP voter base being racists, deplorables or trash, they are truly speaking on behalf of their own voter base. It is sad that this is a main divider among U.S. citizens. You call me trash, I'll call you stupid....

Of course, no Dem voter would ever admit to thinking this way, but they all do and everyone knows it.

Not really, because I know that's how they think of me anyway.

Hence, my "frick them" attitude.
