The vast majority of Americans were in favor of removing Saddam Hussein and his regime.
Damn we're a noble society, huh? And we're the only society smart enough to recognize that murdering men, women and children will result in....wait for it......NATION BUILDING!!!!

Are you fricking high? Everyone with a pulse had known who Saddam Hussein was for over a decade prior to the invasion? And you call people dumb

But you go ahead and believe they gave a frick about (much less even heard of) some guy halfway around the world.

Wow. You are so far down the rabbit hole there's no hope for you.

So while Texas keeps playing with his Reynolds Wrap, here is a hypothetical.
Baghdad falls = U.S. ground soliders back into Iraq within six months ?

One of these days you're going to post something of substance and meaningful.
Today is not that day.....

You're obviously much more of an optimist, than I.

Dude, Saddam Hussein was a household name. How old are you? Serious question

I think we'll be providing air support within a matter of a few days.
There's also the issue of the ISIS actually taking Baghdad. It's an entirely different beast than any of these cities they've taken so far. They'll be stepping away from the home field for the first time since they started this operation.
I posted this fact in another post, but I'll post it here again: there are about as many people in Sadr City alone (which is about 98% Shi'a) in Baghdad as there are an all of Mosul, by far the largest city taken so far.

quote:Social Security and Medicare went to shite and have caused enormous deficits and national debt. Why are FDR and LBJ not given responsibility for our deficits and national debt, or was I mistaken when Obama tried to blame Bush for our deficits and national debt? At some point if you don't solve a problem created by others you become responsible for it. When does Obama become responsible for problems, caused by others, he did not solve, and may have exacerbated?
Because when something is done, and it goes to shite, someone is responsible.

What's going on with American personnel that are still in country. I know there are still a shitton of American contractors helping out with their Air Force and ISR functions.

Idiot.
There was never a single fricking reason to lose a single American life in that shite hole.
W wanted to play Commander-in-Chief because there weren't enough Taliban to kill so into Iraq we went.
W lied to the American people, lied to congress, and some 4000 American soldiers paid for his lies.
W now gets to play on his ranch while the relatives of his victims tend to their graves.
Obama doesn't need to blame anyone.
We never should have put troops in that shite hole to "nation build" without an actual plan once the bullets stopped flying.
Bush IS to blame.

Geez, this thread has spiraled out of control, but I should have expected it...
Again, I am not arguing who's fault the circumstances actually are... The question I was asking is if Obama will use the "Blame Bush" fallback that he has over and over again after he claimed credit/responsibility for ending the war in Iraq.
You can't say "I ended the war and things fell into despair, but its still Bush's fault"
Obama wants it both ways and the original question was if this situation will be the same as always.
