They killed over 1000 in 2019 but the plane shoot down puts a bit spotlight on them and how they handle the situation.
Not saying they won’t repeat but international focus on them may limit their potential response.

Anybody ever wonder why these folks are always calling for death during their protests?
Christ Almighty, those dudes over there don't frick around. It's always "Death to America," "Death to the Great Satan", "Death to the Islamic Republic," "Death to the Dictator," etc etc.
Iran will start making progress as a nation when they learn to rise above such thoughts. It's an educational problem over there. The people need to be educated to the point where they even understand how to govern themselves.
ETA: and what's really damn funny is people thinking they can even begin to relate with the plight of the Iranians in America cuz Democrats.
If one of these Iranian protestors saw the "funny" comment on Twitter I don't think they would find it funny at all. I imagine it would sound more like, "you ignorant fricking Americans have no clue what you speak of." And they would be right.

Imagine how broke Obama will be, if the Iranian government gets overturned. It is one of the few governments he supported and actually tried helping by overthrowing other governments.
