Thoughts and prayers for your daughter and family while she is forward deployed dealing with this. She’s in good hands, trained, and I’m blessed her and others are out there representing us.

God be with her.
Because this president and government and military leadership sure won’t be.

Id just like some more details on the possibility of a "land based" invasion.
Not even remotely possible.....at least by Iran. They could try to get Hezbollah to do it, but I think that would get stonewalled pretty quickly with no air cover.

Must be a translation failure. They’ve been trying to make this sound like a big thing. Skirmish doesn’t fit.
It’s the nation version of two meatheads circling one another yelling “sup brah, come at me brah” while never actually Fighting

Amen.
Disturbing to see some people in here ginned up about a bunch of people possibly being killed.
It’s mostly the innocents and small people that suffer while the perpetrators and elites stay nice and safe.

It’s even deeper than that. They’ve effectively pissed on the graves of every soldier who died in GWOT. An absolutely disgraceful, and disgusting, administration.

I’m not. I’m just not reminding someone who’s kid is being deployed about it.

One of the great outcomes of our fricked up misadventure in Iraq is turning it into a client state of iran.

In the complex landscape of Middle Eastern geopolitics, the relationship between Iran and Iraq presents a compelling study of shifts and turns. Historically, the two nations have transitioned from an intense rivalry to a surprising collaboration. The harrowing experiences of the 1980s war are etched deeply in their collective memory.1 However, the dawn of the new millennium unveiled a surprising turn of events, positioning Iran as an influential actor in Iraq’s political, security, and economic realms.

Fair enough.
But I think he already knows it.
Praying for God to keep her and everyone safe from these lunatics and reckless people on all sides.
