I'm open to easing sanctions in exchange for legitimate, verifiable destruction of their enrichment facilities. Not just halting, but destroying the capability.

The funds that are frozen can be released only to be applied used by US selected contractors used for the dismantling. Losing that money is just one of the costs of their actions.

Trump should just say we've destroyed the nuclear program again and pack up. Half of the country will just take him at face value and I don't think anyone would really care that we're leaving other some warmongers.

He's saying the US will be "forced out of" the Middle East because he knows damn well that is the current goal. To divest from the Middle East and shore up the Western Hemisphere. That comment is akin to some shite Baghdad Bob would say.

It's what they're frickin doing, man. This too has been explained to you several times and it's not surprising that you pretend it hasn't.

There's no sense in even discussing things with you at this point really.

If we get out of the middle east that will be an eventual good outcome

We don't seem to have much of a strategy of doing so however.

Literally everything you see happening is working towards that end.

I don't like that we're there, but I see why we basically play oil police. Good rant here from northshorebamaman:

So they give up on their moral Right to enrich Uranium and possess nuclear intercontinental missiles but remain the only sovereign Jihadist National?

When they get the money back from their oil production what is to stop them from wreaking terror havoc on our Nation for the ‘war crimes’ we have committed against Iran? Just offhand I can post at least 3 kinds of easy and unstoppable actions that would cause serious harm if not a meltdown of our Nation. I no more will but there are professional strategists out there a lot smarter than me. Given the money it’s not hard to procure the product.

Muslims must be forced to give up Jihad for peace and prosperity. And it should start right now in the ME.

If Bessent really found a way to turn off the money spigot they use to pay their army and China agreed to tell them to bend the knee we might actually be on the verge of a deal.

I mean, I don't necessarily disagree, but this sounds like mission creep. We aren't about to wage a crusade against the entire Muslim world.

I e always believed that the Persians were a gifted people who are able to rise above the barbaric aspects of Fanatical Jihadist Islam and Martyrdom in service to Muhammad vision. I can understand how the harsh Theocratic punishments are pragmatic in controlling less able genetically and culturally deficient peoples, but the Persians should be better than this. In fact such brutality may well be prudent for many otherwise ugly societies.

I would not encourage any wider war against Islam, Ed, though I seriously doubt that if given the chance via superior numbers that they would indeed discourage my Belief in aggressive ways. Honest Muslims should be forced to realize what is at stake - peace and prosperity at the least and suicidal war the worst- and at least engage in a public ‘debate’ where they justify, enable or reject Jihadist Ideology. This is where we are. And I hope that is what they are discussing behind closed doors.

If you mean our constant string of failures in the Middle East you might have a point

Don't think for a second that this was the intended outcome

I mean, if the audience is you, Bunk, and powerwoman, I would rather hit myself in the ball sack with a brick than bother explaining shite to you lot, but for anyone else interested there is the 2025 National Security Strategy and 2026 National Defense Strategy where it is all laid out on plain text. No, I do not feel the need to explain something to a trio of idiots who will pretend as if they had never been told anything about it the next time the topic comes up.

Trump just met with China. That was massive for the stance of the US against Iran.

Trump appointed Marco Rubio as National Security Advisor in addition to his role as Secretary of State. Only one other held those same two titles, and Rubio is undoing his work.

Very telling that Xi Jinping said, "The Thucydides Trap can be overcome through healthy cooperation and mutual coexistence."

Then Scott Bessent lets you know exactly what's happening: "Iran will complete its remaining oil shipments to China within two weeks, leaving Tehran with nothing left to trade for anything."

Anyone that thinks Donald Trump is in over his head in Iran is delusional.

He is shitting all over the Globalist regime's plans put in place going back to Kissinger.
