4. If local LEO cooperates citizens are safer- the primary function of government.
5. If local LEO cooperates the "collateral" detainees, non-felony illegals, don't get caught in the dragnet.

I’m curious how this plays out at the ballot box
Seems like when there’s an issue that dominates media, people show up to vote for change. Those are the motivated voters.
Something like what we’re seeing would normally be bad for the party in power.
