I grew up in Alabama, went to college at Auburn, had friends from every small town in the state and many from south Georgia. I met all kinds of backwoods, redneck, country-fied, hunting & fishing, farmers, uneducated, even coon dog breeders, you name it. I never met/saw/ a klansman. However, I met a guy from Millbrook Al. who’s great grandfather was in the klan in the late 1,800’s. His grandmother had an embroidered klan sleeve patch handed down as a relic. Granny told us that Great Gramps and his klan friends mainly tracked down outlaws and tarred & feathered trashy white men who ran off and left their wives & kids.
I also tend to believe this KKK/ Obama story is fictional and was invented to create a media template that the DNC can use to call black voters to the DNC plantation. If it was set in the 1950’s or 1960’s it could be believable.
