Secondly, Trump never spent a single campaign dollar in New York, his home state, because he knew the electoral votes were going blue. If the rules of the game were popular vote, there's no guarantee Trump still wouldn't have won because he would have campaigned totally differently. There are alot of hard blue states where republicans don't even bother voting because they know it doesn't matter. So why do people think that if we had a popular vote system that Trump still wouldn't have won?

You're going to lose the libs at this point. They can only handle one level of information at a time.

A changes, B is constant. That's it.

"Since 1913, every other election we have is settled by popular vote." Make your point and list these elections. I'm sure these are local or state elections.

He’s clearly referring to the 17th Amendment. The fact that you could not realize that yet insult people in a thread about the topic is pretty comical.

It should be obvious by the simple act of voting in Congressional elections, or even knowing that they are.

There's a reason we are called the United States of America and not the United People of America. States as a whole should have more sayso on how a national government is run as opposed to the individuals of a nation do.

The EC isn’t the problem, but the EC has problems. I think it would be much better if it was some at the district level with 2 votes for state winner or something like that.

But then we get into the ridiculous districting which is another problem.

Well have an Old Style on me, Friend. I had a Northern friend I'd die for. He passed way 2 years ago, but we shared many a cheap beer together. Godspeed, Mike.
