Me too - I'd invent a new identity every day. And maybe demand "culturally appropriate" food for whatever identity I chose.

There is no way the pronoun thing is enforceable or legal.

I would do it on purpose just to be able to sue the bleeding frick out of the state for violating my First Amendment rights.

This is not constitutional.

I agree but there's a pretty good chance the 9th circuit will declare it constitutional.

Nobody will be charged criminally, but civil cases will now have legal backing. This will mostly be used against healthcare professionals. They will be fired, sanctioned by their licensing boards, and sued. Liability insurance will be going up in that state along with healthcare costs. Have fun, California.

CALIFORNIA:
you use the wrong pronoun - crime
You knowingly give someone aids - no problem
You're an illegal - come on over, we will cover 4U
You're conservative - free speech doesn't apply 2U

State Sen. Scott Weiner, who authored the legislation, argued people’s religious beliefs must be put aside in public places.

“Everyone is entitled to their religious view,” Wiener said. “But when you enter the public space, when you are running an institution, you are in a workplace, you are in a civil setting, and you have to follow the law.”

Yeah, you have to follow the law known as the First Amendment, smuck!

It won't. Besides the obvious free speech issue, there's an equal protection argument imo. If it isn't illegal to refer to a straight male or female by the wrong gender, either by mistake or intention, it cannot be illegal to do the same thing to a transgender.

They'll probably claim it's "elder abuse".

I'd imagine stuff like that could be declared unconstitutional if it ever made it to the SCOTUS
