For anecdotal point of reference - people at my haircut place, the bar, the store, etc. were talking about Kavanaugh. There was tons of buzz about the whole saga. I hear almost nothing about impeachment, seriously.

Yep, and a more apt comparison would be the clinton impeachment

You could not go anywhere without hearing the name lewinski in a conversation. Airports ,diners, doctor offices.

I have NOT ONCE overheard a convo about Ukraine

There’s a fatigue that’s set in. People see Schiff’s face and tune out.

Fatigue is a good word for this

It’s been endless media doom and gloom since Jan 2017

People are sick of turning on cnn and fox and seeing drama and bombshells

Both parties wear out the public. Clinton, Benghazi, Russia, now Ukraine. Just consider how hard it is for the left, even with huge media backing, to make bombshells out of political sagas these days. The 24/7 media coverage just exhausts average voters and makes it impossible to shock anyone's conscience.

At least in the Clinton era there was more universal belief that the news media was giving you the news, even though many believed then that it was pretty politically tinged.

Now people discount entire outlets, and it's hard to blame them. On our side, for example, why the hell would anyone care about a supposed bombshell from Hannity at this point?

I don’t pay attention to bombshells on either side at this point. Hannity has a bombshell every night and so do the fake news networks.

Trump isn’t going to be removed from office. I won’t be watching any of the hearings since we know the end result. It’s boring stuff.

So, according to the dems, Trump exercising authority under the Constitution is abusing power

Of course. Just like firing Comey was obstruction, even though it was completely within Trump's constitutional authority.

Hell, it was within Trump's constitutional authority to fire Rosenstein and Mueller, yet despite the fact he didn't. his mere thinking about it is obstruction according to the Dems.

Funny thing that... Andrew Johnson firing Lincoln appointees was the basis for his own impeachment proceedings.

Based upon a law that was unconstitutional on its face (Tenure of Office Act - which the SCOTUS stated was unconstitutional in dicta in another decision).

I heard some of this after work.

Are they leading off ith the best they've got?

I heard about 5 minutes of Jordan skewering Taylor and that blew up the whole thing.

Damn, the Ukrainian President never said anything about pressure, didn't know aid was held up for almost the entire time until it was released, never started any investigation of Biden, and got the aid, which was a lot more useful than the crap the obama administration gave them.

This is pathetic. If this turns out to even have a whiff of a connection to obstructing the real investigations by Durham and Barr and whoever else somebody needs to be tried for obstruction.

That is exactly what this shite is - so if anything real comes out thy want people to think it is just like this farce.

Depends on how it made you FEEL when you first heard about it or first read the transcript. If it made you feel "troubled" or "icky" maybe a little flu-like or perhaps even gave you a little gas.....Trump's guilty. Just depends on how it made you feel.

Let's just let the liberals win and have Warren for 4 years. Give em what they want. Whoever runs against her in 2024 will win Reagan over Mondale style. Maybe this cuck country just needs a big time attitude adjustment.
