Again, that's not how we do things.

And yet history shows us that's exactly how we do it. Most of these illegal immigrants you want here will be low income and most will be on some form of government assistance. More taxes to pay for that.

I live in Florida and where the illegal immigrants live, it looks like the 3rd world country they came from. They don't assimilate and yet take our tax dollars.

No it's not, you all are hypocrites because how many of you even live near illegal immigrants? Hollywood wants a bunch of illegal immigrants but how many of them live in Beverly Hills or in Newport Beach?

It's a political tactic, the democrats want illegal immigrants but make sure they don't live near them and make sure they put them in republican areas to try to switch those areas. So those of us who don't want illegal immigrants are the ones who get stuck with them.

It's not wrong to ask those who really want the illegal immigrants here to have them living in their community. Let them have skin in the game for a change.

I mean, I haven't gone around checking green cards or anything, but my neighborhood is like 80% Hispanic, so the odds are pretty good that I do.

Really, go by Little Haiti in Miami, see how you like it there. You'll never be so happy to leave an area as you will there.

If you're in Central Florida go by Kissimmee, used to be a fairly nice middle class white area. Now it's a complete Third World dump after the Puerto Ricans took over. Or go just south of Winter Haven where a lot of Haitians live, again a dump.

They don't assimilate, they just bring the Third World here.

I'm confused as to how Puerto Ricans can be illegal immigrants.

The point being is losh unlike immigrants in previous generations who assimilated and were Americans first, immigrants now do not assimilate, they do not learn English and many still have loyalty to their home country over the U.S.

They do not become Americans and all they typically do is make wherever they take over look like the horrible conditions they came from in their home country.

What do you think Muslims are going to do, assimilate or make communities look like we were transported to Saudi Arabia?

If anything, immigrants make a point to assimilate. Yes, they stick to their communities because it's comfortable.

Which is basically their way of NOT assimilating. By staying in their enclaves they don't have to communicate with people who don't look like them (yet those of us who are white are bashed if we exhibit anywhere near the same behavior, kind of hypocritical right?). they don't try to learn English and they still fly their home countries flag over the U.S. flag. They aren't Americans, they are still Muslims, or Africans, or Hispanics who just happen to live in the U.S.

Trust me I work in HR for a company that hires a lot of these people. I've seen Haitians who have been here 20 years who hardly speak a word of English. That's just lazy and disrespectful.

You think the first-generation immigrants in previous generations instantly learned the King's English? Assimilation takes place over multiple generations.

And Muslims will probably assimilate just fine. I don't understand why some of you have such a low opinion of American culture that you think immigrants won't end up cheeseburger-eating dad rock listening middle managers.

I was in Haiti after the earthquake. I'd guess it was slightly worse than a small section of Miami. Still not a reason to close down our borders to them. That's not who we are.

There is one big difference you are forgetting, religion. Most of those immigrants from earlier generations were some form of Christian, maybe Jewish. Their religion wasn't telling them to blow up people who believed in a different religion than them.

That's the big difference, being a Muslim and being an American are essentially incompatible, as being a Muslim means you are taught to hope and help with the destruction of American and the West as a whole. To truly become American they will have to leave Islam, otherwise they are just a Muslim who happens to live in America.

You would think differently if you had to deal with them in the same regularly I've had to. Some of the most entitled people I've ever had to meet, and God forbid you ask them to do anything.

Many of them proudly have told me "well you all need to learn our language, we're taking over."

Yeah so sorry if we viewpoint on Haitians and other immigrants are a little different.

If a religion is hell bent on destroying our values and our way of life. Damn right I want to be selective.

Immigration to this country is not a right and you all have forgotten that.
