Sure, but that's irrelevant. I don't have to agree with something to say it should be permitted.

We are a developed country now, we don't need an influx of people and a growing population. Let me ask you this, why should we be bringing in illegal immigrants if we can't even take care of our homeless and veterans?
Don't we have enough people in this country? Do you believe our traffic problems aren't bad enough? Will you not be happy until we are all in traffic gridlock 24 hours a day and our country is bankrupt?
If we aren't going to enforce our immigration policy why not just make every person on the planet a U.S. citizen?
Maybe some of these illegal immigrants need to start being part of the solution and not the problem. Maybe they need to stay in their home countries and actually start fixing them for a change.

I'm pretty sure we can handle building new roads and transport infrastructure. Our population is growing anyway.

I wish more people actually cared about this beyond a simple talking point.

You do realize you can only build roads so much. And as you build more roads you'll have more maintenance costs, where's the money going to come from for that?
Sorry but the U.S. I think is long overdue for a time period of a population decrease or at least a stabilization of the population.

I do care, which is why I think we should be taking care of these people and helping them out as much as possible before we worry about have to assist illegal immigrants.

How much do you care? Bitching about things that aren't happening isn't caring.

Okay smart guy (sarcasm), what the frick does a "new nation's" policies on immigration have to do with the present? Maybe your family took a slave boat to the US, should we continue that practice?
Really?
Posted on 2/3/17 at 11:49 pm to DisplacedBuckeye
And what exactly do you want me to do about it? I donate to several organization that helps with disabled military veterans. More than what most on the left can say about illegal immigrants.

That's a start. Maybe spend more time with some of those veterans and advocating for those veterans, than complaining about nonsense.

I'm not sure that I made this clear, I don't give shite about immigration.
You're obviously ignorant on the issue. Do you enjoy making an arse of yourself?

And again DisplacedBuckeye when are you going to spend time with those illegal immigrants you want here? When are you going to bring one into your home since you want them here so much?

Again, link to that?

How many homeless people and disabled veterans are living with you?

I'm from Houston so no, actually. I'm pretty sure we can build 26-lane highways if we need to because I live next to one.
And yet Houston traffic is still some of the worst in the country. My point exactly.

I'll take Japan's problems over the U.S. problems any day of the week. Japan has been around long before the U.S. and at this rate Japan will be around long after the U.S. has collapsed. Uncontrolled population growth is just as bad as a decreasing population, IMO worse. Heck I've honestly thought about moving to Japan, it has a lot more of my ideals than the U.S. has nowadays.

Different scenario and you know it. Those people are U.S. citizens and already here, I'm not the one pushing to bring in 100's of thousands of people who could easily end up homeless or at least very low income. If I was pushing to bring more homeless people to the U.S. then you would have a point.

Not for this discussion. Your contention is that the only way I should support immigration is if I personally let them live with me. That's pure stupidity for the reasons I've already stated.

Again, that's not how we do things.
