I've had personal involvement in a medical issue that Greg Abbott's policies turned into a truly agonizing decision for the woman and her family

I fully believe that some of these women experienced gross medical malpractice and should sue. In some cases, couples have chosen to go to free standing ERs instead of a fully functional hospital with a maternity ward.

I understand that these situations are traumatic but conflating miscarriage and genetic deformity with abortion is sick. Sorry, my friend, it is.

Many of these women don’t understand maternity, hospital, or emergency medicine. There are steps doctors have to go through before insurance will pay.

I work with maternity nurses. Their biggest frustration is that hospitals have turned having a baby into a resort experience. RNs have told me that women decide against their hospitals if they don’t like the food menu or they don’t offer prenatal massage.

Women have completely lost the plot when it comes to having a baby. They think when the time comes, they miscarry, or discover a birth defect, they can dictate to the doctor and hospital what they want done as if they’re going to their PCP or OB-GYN. It doesn’t work that way.

The one woman in the Colin Allred commercials who discovered a birth defect and got upset that she had to go out of state to abort a living child with an active heartbeat really pisses me off. She’s an OB, too. She fails to mention that she is over 35, miscarried her pregnancy before the one with the birth defect and is pregnant again. She engages in high risk pregnancies and is surprised when they fail. And she’s an OB!

The fact that women don’t want to take these birth defect babies to term is straight up Eugenics. It’s Nazi/Margaret Sanger nightmare fuel.

As you should be. The sickos have hijacked your movement and the Dems allowed it to happen. Anyone still supporting that movement is a deviant at this point. Not someone who simply wants to get married and be left alone.

my wife has a step cousin that is gay and married living in NOLA....they are voting for trump because they feel the movement has gone too far and they are stable gay couple....they prefer...less crime, less illegals, better economy.....you know all the things that matter to most stable people

they also both use testosterone and lift weights. the more they lift, the more they lean conservative....who knew?

The lesbians are especially pissed off by the Trans movement.

Boy, this thread has gone off the rails quickly. Sorry, OP.

well i think for suburban women who are moms....the trans movement is a big deal.

you are messing with their child and they dont give a frick about feelings of others when it comes to their child and they shouldnt

they dont want men in thier little girls bathroom or boys in their locker room and they sure as frick dont want their baby girl competing against a boy

trump needs to hammer that, crime, economy and border over and over and over and over again in the key states.

No actually this is all a pretty good discussion.

Thanks for sharing your story. It's encouraging to see people push back against what the pride movement has become.

It never bothered me if someone is gay, unlike the evangelical side of conservatism. I only care about if the person is a contributing member of society and the gay people I know, including a cousin of mine, all fit that description.

The pride movement long ago left their message of "we are contributing members of society too and want to be treated as such". It was an understandable and relatable message. Now they are a mess and their message has become obscene. Sadly that makes many on the evangelical side feel justified in being against it all. I am glad to see more couples like you speak out against it and try to regain control of the narrative.

Enjoy voting for policies that will financially cripple that grandson of yours and everyone else’s too by the way.

You can be forgiven then. Your culture has been voting for Democrats for so long that it’s be expected that you will vote for whoever the party trots out regardless of their policies. It’s hard to break away from the Democrat plantations

In fairness, there was a time when the dems were much more palatable than they are now. Most folks just haven’t been able to pivot off of their pre established notions now that the left has moved as far left as they have.

Like this Jimmy guy for example. He’s voting dem because he wants more abortion access. Mmkay. Well, if that’s the case, shouldn’t he be happy RVW was struck down and it went back to the states? If it stayed federal it could… wait for it…..this is important now……….also be banned on a federal level. You don’t want the feds making rules they don’t have the purview to make. If the feds, as Kamala has tried to claim, can reinstitute abortion access for the whole country, all with the stroke of a pen, you realize the feds can also do the opposite, again with the stroke of a pen. You WANT a limited federal government. The fact that it’s in the states allows for more protection in a sense as long as you live in a state that reflects your values. Ya know, kinda how the whole country was supposed to be set up? The people of each state having a voice on how their state should be run.

Nevertheless, he bit hook, line & sinker on the democrat party line and never took the time to critically think. Critical thinking is a tough thing for some folks and it’s hard to change your opinion.

But you’re still basing your vote in a federal election on an issue that is a states rights issue & is no longer a federal issue at all. That’s pretty dense honestly. You’re essentially deciding who to hire for your NFL team because you didn’t like the local High Schools hire.

See, this is my issue. I wish Kamala had no policy. I’d be okay if she sat there and did nothing. Problem is she does have policy and that policy is DEI, Marxist, Socialist, Anti-American, Anti-worker, Big government ideology. Her policies are god awful
