Imagine toppling Iran, with ~20 US soldiers killed

Every loss of life hurts, but that would be quite a number. About 1,000 Americans have been killed in attacks attributed to Iran or Iran-backed groups since the 1979 Iranian Revolution
Iran is not done yet, but siege warfare is undefeated when you can accomplish it.

One day people may start to understand a military victory doesn't mean shite. Winning over the people is the real war and you can't win it by force. We saw that in Iraq and Afghanistan where we spent trillions and 20 years just to replace the Taliban with the Taliban.
And all the American people got was their wealth stolen.

I think when a people are being attacked, they support the most extreme among them because that is who fights back.
That was who fought back in 1979 after we installed a brutal dictator that reigned for over 20 years and sold off their assets to western nations etc.

Service members unfortunately pass everyday in training incidents, car crashes, and from terminal illness, the faux outrage here by some posters not understanding how successful our military has been under this administration is just another unfortunate part of having people who will complain about anything and everything because they don’t like the person in charge.
