In 2008, part of me was happy Obama won. A lot of his ideas seemed very appealing to teenager me, particularly with respect to being anti-war, pro healthcare for all, anti-censorship, opposing the patriot act, and pro transparency in government. Biy, did he not deliver on any of it. I have much more in common with a 2004 democrat than I do with a 2004 republican, but the 2022 democratic party is utterly insane.
