Trump admin is devastating cancer/disease research by significantly reducing the funds available for cancer research by almost a half, that's just at the DOD (57% reduction).

The most promising drugs are already generic like ivermectin and fenbendazole. We're wasting money on cancer research because big pharma refuses to allow any treatment that won't make them billions.

The money would be wasted and in someone's pocket. Medicine leaders are not interested in making cures. No money in it. Of course they could push vacs that cure nothing and cause injury. Simple way to profit.

Honestly think Cancer research is just as big of a scam. The money isn't in curing cancer, it's in treating cancer and "looking for a cure"

More money is made treating and not curing. Should have hardened the power grid for that $350B.

Not just that we could have built a few new bridges with that money without the need for tolls in Louisiana.

But yes, the old adage is true about cancer. If a cure was found tomorrow, think of it as a one time purchase and why do that when you can essentially get someone on a seemingly endless subscription treating and managing cancer with today’s class of medications and treatments.

Nothing would change. We’d still be dying from cancer.

Wasn't cancer research the reason the NIH was formed?

Except companies have already done this for things like HPV and Hep C. If they could find a cure they would sell it. Management is focused on the short term.

It would be great if the researchers used the money correctly.
However I think there are too many Dr. Fauci types that know how to BS the research and want line their pockets with $$$.

You would have some happy administrations at various cancer research charities.

Seriously… before anyone gets up and runs in a cancer 5k or enjoy any of their other fundraisers…. Take a quick peek at their 990 on IRS.gov and see how much money goes to ““administrative expenses””

Nothing would come of putting that towards cancer research. Find a cure for cancer and you wreck a huge money making component in this country.
