Anybody believe the story that has been given?
I’ve always believed that the military waited until it was in a rural area and shot it down. Which I believe would have been the tough but correct call given the situation.

The hell you say.

I believe that you’re full of shite. And there were ordinary Americans on that flight like you and me. Moms and Dads. Sons and daughters. That rose to the occasion to help the greater good.

There was small debris pile a mile from the main crash (missile strike?). It was even initially reported shot down on the news.

We will likely never know. Those folks did mount a counter assault of some kind (based on the phone calls) and for that they’re heroes

no idea what actually happened but of course that would have been the right call. The people on that plane were going to die one way or another as terrible as that is

It was in a steep inverted dive. It simply began coming apart. I remember reading a farmer's report of what he saw. He said the plane went over his farm upside down.

No doubt there was a fight and plan to take out the terrorists on board.

Also no doubt that the government shot that plane out of the sky knowing where it was headed.

Parts of the plane were found away from the crash site and eyewitnesses saw it on fire coming down upside down.

Right call. Sucks, though.

Some members of my extended family believe this too based on the scattered debris.

After sleeping half the morning we finally had fighters up by the time flight 93 was hijacked. A jet was seen circling the area right after the crash. But the hijackers most likely crashed it themselves. They were flying erratically back and forth trying to throw off the passengers. Contrary to popular belief the passengers never made it to the controls and the hijackers crashed it in the field.

Up to that point hijacking SOP for airlines was to give into their demands and deal with the situation on the ground. But the pilots fly the planes. Hijackers had never killed the pilots before and flown the plane themselves. Also hijackers flying a plane into a building wasn't even a thought for the airlines.

Flight 93 was the last flight so the passengers heard about the WTC when they called their family which caused them to act. The WTC flights didn't have any warning of what was happening which is why they didn't try to fight.

Local police reported debris up to 8 miles away. F16s in pursuit. F16s landed without missiles.

There were articles claiming a plan to ram the plane “Kamikaze” style with the fighter jets. Interview seemed forced, and a way to get it out in the press that the jets were unarmed.

NBC: Kamikaze: F-16 pilots planned to ram Flight 93

How it comes across to me:
“Good thing it just happened to break apart over a rural area and then crash, because our fighter jet sent to intercept was unarmed.. we were going to ram it lol. But we definitely didn’t take it down bc we are still here”

Only thing I know for sure is the only plane that didn’t hit its mark was the only one that was intercepted by US fighter jets, and it went down in a remote area. Believe what you want

I remember a pretty tight crash site as in flew straight into the ground. Broken up planes don't do that.

Good goy. Eat up the propaganda.

Anyone that has done any research on that flight knows it was shot down.

I just don't remember any of that and I thought I followed it pretty closely. But, oh well. I concede. I know that protocol says we can do that for the greater good (as in saving a larger target than the passengers on board) but I just don't remember that.
