Yes.

You are on the team that takes itself out of the game by insisting on quaint old fashioned rules.

If every politician and government official were held to a strict standard of honesty and integrity Santos would be forced to resign. If this standard existed and was being enforced +50% of congress and many government Officials would be losing their jobs. There isn’t really much of a penalty for bald face lying by our elected politicians and public officials……the American people (allegedly 81 million) voted for a known liar for president.

Only if you want to fake intellectual honesty of about politicians. If you want to continue rooting for your team despite the lies that's allowed as well.

One more reason they hate Trump, he didn’t capitulate to their petty double standards, he showed the way.

If the Commie-crats and hypocrisy is the PB&J of politics. Would be a great way to kick off the gay vs tranny war, if this Santos guy made this same argument.

Also...I'm still wondering why all of a sudden this came out after the election. Was he a dark horse to win so they didn't want to go after a legit La-tinx?

This groomer lays it all out perfectly for everyone here.

The left will NEVER relent, take accountability, or show any shame. That is for their opponents.

This is another reason why I never support censoring anyone. I want to know who the liars and hypocrites are.

I guess we are.

The more I think about it, with those R fricks from the Senate crossing over like traitors, the GOP is getting exactly what it deserves. When you can't capitalize on this shithole economy, an unpopular president, absolutely no border control, a party that en masse refuses to defend it's most popular president in 25 years - then yes. That's a woman.

Santos is a goner. The republican house lead is now almost insignificant. Gonna be so funny to watch all these lying GOP house members who were all preaching investigations and all this bullshite crawfish and do nothing.

The democrats rule is likely indefinite. Have fun.

In a fairytale world, our wants would be taken into consideration. We don’t live in a fairytale world. Me wanting all the liars treated the same will never materialize, because Dem liars are always given a pass.

Why defend Santos though? If I was in his district and discovered he was a total fraud, I’d want him to resign.

You know. He lied about being a jew.

Then all politicians would have to resign. Which, by the way, I'm fine with.

I didn’t defend him all I am asking is why isn’t anyone making the same arguments for the liar in chief or anyone else in government R or D

What makes this guys lies so much worse than any other politician that you feel compelled to speak out against him but sit quiet for everyone else

I don't give a shite. Everyone builds themself up, and many embellish what they've done or accomplished.

I don't like some of what Santos has stated, but it's something to learn from, hardly disqualifying.

Progressives absolutely love us, though. We use Tulsi [who deserted the Democratic party], on a conservative show [Tucker Carlson] to attack and take out one of our own.

No wonder Democrats laugh at us.

The sheer volume and magnitude of his lies in such a short period of time for a guy who is a complete unknown to the public right before an election. Voters had no idea who he was so you take him at his word during the campaign and everything he said about who he was was a lie.

quote:

In a November interview, Santos claimed his company had four employees who were killed in the 2016 Pulse nightclub massacre, but the Times cross-checked all the victims’ names against the firms that Santos mentions in his biography and found no overlap.

quote:

Santos claims to be a 2010 graduate of Baruch College, but the school could not find any record of him. The National Republican Congressional Committee’s bio of him includes enrollment at New York University, which could also not find any indication he took classes there.

quote:

The campaign biography says Santos’ work history includes stints at Citigroup and Goldman Sachs but those firms told the Times “they had no record of his ever working there,” the newspaper reported.

quote:

Santos says he founded a charity called Friends of Pets United in 2013, but the IRS and the attorney generals of New York and New Jersey could find no record of it being registered as a tax-exempt organization. Furthermore, a New Jersey animal group that co-hosted a $50-a-ticket fundraiser with Santos in 2017 said it never received any of the proceeds.

quote:

The congressman-elect has said that his family has a real-estate portfolio, claiming in February that they own 13 properties. But the Times says the only real estate he listed on financial disclosure forms was an apartment in Rio de Janeiro—and no records of other property could be found.

quote:

Santos claimed on financial disclosures that he earned a $750,000 salary and millions in dividends as an owner of the Devolder Organization, but the newspaper said it could not locate any assets for the Florida-registered company.

quote:

Santos’ campaign bio page claims his mother was “the first female executive at a major financial institution,” though the specific institution is unnamed. The bio also says “George’s mother was in her office in the South Tower” on the morning of Sept. 11, 2001. “She survived the horrific events of that day, but unfortunately passed away a few years later”—about 15 years later.

quote:

The Times was able to find records of a 2010 charge in Santos’ native Brazil for stealing a checkbook and using the checks to buy shoes, and two New York City eviction proceedings against him in 2015 and 2017.
