I'll say I highly doubt it happens. If it does, though, every independent in the last let's say 60 years has caucused with the democrats. It's uncanny.

dont know how it works but it MIGHT result in equal representation on committees - which is the big thing we gave up by. not achieving 50-50.
49-49-1 may result in same committee distribution as 50-50 -
