If I wanted to use that world for an analogy, I would compare it to a few high school kids who suddenly became Miami Hurricane fans overnight. Now prior to November 1983 they never wore any Miami gear, you never heard them talk about Miami (or in some cases even college football), they couldn't tell you the names of the players or maybe even the coach. They sure as hell were never going to actually attend Da U upon graduating. But suddenly everything they wear is green & orange, especially after the bowl game and they insisted "we've always been Miami fans".
