I don't think I've ever seem more people from a myriad of ethnic and cultural backgrounds be in such consensus as they are about the murder of Mr. Floyd.

Furthermore, I believe that there was prudent and swift action levied by the President to ensure this matter was given the proper level of attention it deserved to ensure these officers were punished.

That said, I do NOT believe in the pseudo systemic racism that is pontificated by the left. There have always been, and always will be "bad people", or those that are outside of what most reasonable people would consider acting outside of the cultural norm in society. It's a catch term used to influence the weak minded and uneducated that use it as a crutch for why they can't get ahead in the world. If you are told there are nothing but barriers your whole life, then you will always see barriers and use them as excuses. This is what the left continues to perpetuate and gaslight people with through social media - the main way to get to the youth of today. It's why you see these dumb arse kids looting and destroying their own communities.

Everyone on all sides needs to pray. God's the only way we all get through this as a whole with any semblance of a "United" States.

Dude, that post has 15 upvotes and zero downvotes on this board and now you are gonna assign that belief to "the left"

You are getting things twisted my man

I disagree with that comment. And I think the comment itself is consistent with leftist propaganda that create a narrative that a black person is an Uncle Tom If he betters himself.

I don’t support bad cops. Skin color makes no difference.
We all should want equal treatment under the law for everyone.
Two bad people are getting all this attention and enabling a lot of other bad people and opportunists burn and loot. These people have hijacked all rational discussion.

And, I said to them how come we don't hear about educated and/or gainfully employed Black men without criminal records being killed by cops?

Well, you know that Joe Biden is going to challenge your blackness because of this, right?

George Floyd created bad energy around himself.

From the little bits we saw of some of the terrible early part of the video, it does look to me like he was getting chippy with the arresting officers - whether he was in handcuffs or not, that wasn't the right move on his part. Certainly had he been fully cooperative, hell, he'd probably have been home on bail by now.

Having said that, I don't think that resisting arrest without a weapon warrants a death sentence. Yet on even another hand, had he not been on drugs, he might have survived yet.

It is a tragedy - for everyone involved. I think it looks bad enough for a thorough investigation and maybe some marches if well-behaved people could have prevailed.

But the opportunists have been organizing for this exact moment - largely white opportunists with a Marxist flair who just want to burn everything down because it isn't perfect.

He said that he doesn't live in Tuskegee anymore. He moved to Northport. I won't quote his exact words, but I'll paraphrase his next sentence. "A (black person) can't have anything in Tuskegee!" Implying, that he would be robbed day and night if he stayed there.

It's about how one presents themselves. I purchased a business from a black couple that told me the place was broken into regularly. I've opened it since '14 and his never even had a liter issue and certainly not one break in.

Carry on.

He was a BIG guy, who street-raced for money. He carried his self as someone not to mess with. There is a reason why I see burglar bars on all the homes in predominately black neighborhoods. I'm thinking this guy got tired of looking thru iron bars, to see his back yard.

As you should have.

Do you know if all the cities and states run by Reps hold the bad cops accountable?

All those words, and you said nothing.

If you disagree with his opinion, please explain yours.

I am white and a moderate Republican. From the videos that I saw, the cop's actions seemed unecessary, and I saw several minutes of video of a man being held down at a time when he did not resist.

However, to me, this is not a race issue. This is an issue of unqualified, inadequately trained people being put in dangerous situations that they aren't prepared for. That shite would be scary, and it is a systematic injustice for the officers and everyone that has to deal with them.

Nationwide, we need to change our law enforcement system. If it were my system, I'd piggyback off of the billions spent to train our military people. Raise police's pay and give preference to military people. Also, the military could place more focus on training that would translate well for a police officer.

By the way, you're part of the problem as to why a real conversation cannot be started. You came in and started attacking someone for their opinion, while offering nothing to support your own. Do you really want a conversation, or do you simply want others to bow down to your beliefs?

I don’t envy that. You risk alienating yourself from your whole family for speaking the truth

I’m white and I’ve been married to a beautiful black woman for 30 years, our daughter went down to the KC Country Club Plaza to take in the sights at the demonstration. She has no real clue what she’s protesting, all she knows is the demonstration was where all her friends wanted to go. I am going to have a long talk with her after this BS subsides.....she will have a chance to express her concerns and I will listen very intently. If I don’t hear sound logic and reasoning then I will rain down truth, logic, reason and wisdom on her.

Disagree.
It seems as though this man's family has raised them to treat others with respect, work for their own success, and be their own person for at least a couple of generations. The one's he will be a leper to are the ones he most likely doesn't associate with anyway.

Absolutely. Destructive Behavior (aka bad energy) eventually catches up with you, and IMO this is what happened to Mr. Floyd. Our Law Enforcement Officers are the thin blue line protecting us from people who have a record of making some really really bad choices. Mr. Floyd should not have attempted to pass that counterfeit $ 20.00 bill. He did and it cost him dearly. I'm sorry he died, but ultimately he made a bad choice. The only person to blame for this tragic incident......is George Floyd.

Choices have consequences.
