It’s an absolute miracle that only 9 unarmed black men were killed. Every death is a tragedy, but from a population level it’s amazing.

We are talking about humans carrying deadly weapons trying to arrest millions of dangerous people a year, and only 9 unarmed black men died.

Just think about how many medical errors lead to death a year. And that is with our most highly trained, highly educated citizens calling the shots.

We have high school educated ex ball players earning 60k a year carrying deadly weapons everywhere making split second decisions and there were essentially 9 accidents. It’s just the nature of human nature until we have robots patrolling the streets.

I think another big problem is black Americans are told so much through the media and other avenues that they are the downtrodden and need help from others to make it that it becomes ingrained in the subconscious and the cycle perpetuates itself. Many have accepted the victim mentality instead of figuring out what they need to do to succeed, which is possible for anyone in this country with hard work (your family being a great example). The biggest limiting factor for most people in this country isn't race but poverty, which all colors and creeds can experience. Another factor is broken homes, which all races and creeds experience in this country. Yes, it makes it more difficult to come out of situations like that, but that's where personal accountability comes into play instead of blaming society in general for the hand you were dealt.
