Nope. The national language is English now.

that's great
i still find great value in being bi-lingual. is there an argument to be made for being less educated?

You can tell a couple of schools my kid plays against in south GA have completely ceded soccer over to the Hispanic community. Makes for some killer concession stand food, but the warm up music is so horrendous that it makes me want to eat a bullet.

If you had went to a football game instead of a futball game, this wouldn't happen.

I find most of the Hispanic families are happy to be Americans and try to fit in as best they can. Even on the language end. Yeah, the first gen don't speak it as well as a native, but their kids if born here or brought up here absolutely speak it well....they also speak Spanish.....just not as well as their parents

Maybe white folks need to get off their asses and work menial jobs.

Went to a high school soccer game last night and it was as if I went to Mexico. This was in rural TN. It was embarrassing. I have no problem with people that want to assimilate but these people don't want that. I hope Trump ramps up the deportations. We have to take our country back.
I don't disagree with you, but we the people vote for the politicians you're angry about.
We need to vote for better congressional representation.

Only hispanics that are a problem are the ones that dont speak english
The english speaking ones are generally catholic and more conservative than the average honkey

how are they not assimilating? because they're speaking spanish?
That is one of the most basic requirements for assimilating yourself into a culture. But, you already knew that.

Do you understand what "assimilate" means? Or are you just being obtuse?

Well soccer is a Mexican sport.
I mean, it's known as a European sport, but yeah a lot of mexicans play it too
I'm not even a big soccer fan but all the huge names are white europeans dudes...because that's what they play in europe and where it was invented...

In terms of who you can most easily get along with and imagine sharing your neighborhood with, I imagine for most SEC types the 2nd and 3rd generation hispanic immigrants are at or near the top.
That doesn't excuse flooding the country with migrants, of course, I just think that over time many/most will blend in well to the American identity. Hispanics do like their enclaves, as any immigrant group does, but in my experience they're not nearly as intentionally exclusionary as other groups in social/business/etc. relationships.

I don’t know, man. That taco truck across the street from W Alabama Icehouse in Houston is absolutely delicious, and IFGAF that they can barely speak English while working inside of that thing.

quite the contrary
you weren't even at this game, yet you assume they didn't speak english. if you moved to peru and ran into a bunch of americans, would you speak english or spanish?
i love how so many people don't understand what being obtuse means. you should brush up on your english language skills

Those jobs should pay more then.
But they can’t, because our entire house of cards consumer culture in the US would come tumbling down.

I made the mistake of going to the river in Baton Rouge on the Fourth of July to watch the fireworks, and I expected a mixed gathering of ethnicities, but was shocked by how many Hispanics were there.

Your argument is not for educational purposes but because you feel the dominant language may become Spanish.
