One Dem narrative during the Kavanaugh hearings was that Republicans were planning to come after Roe v Wade.
All of us Republicans thought this was a crazy position and dismissed those concerns as more libetal hysteria.

Now the AL bill is clearly meant to challege Roe in the Supreme Court.

Let’s flip the script to gun control.
Republicans claim dems are coming for our guns, but dems dismiss this as conservative hysteria.

I’m no proponent of abortion, but I don’t like the precedent this sets.

Granted, overturning Roe would simply put the decision on abortion back to each state (as it should be), but still...

Roe V. Wade was improperly litigated on a lie. It was shown in the media at the time falsely in context and facts. The truth always comes out in the laundry. The pro choice stuff is fodder to the facts making you feel dirty politically.

This is going to dominate the news until election night.

Hopefully republicans will fight back and get some air time.

Everyone knows the media is fanatically pro abortion.

The irony of us capping ourselves in the knee re: 2020 in order to protect fetuses that (if born) will vote against us at a 95% clip isnt lost on me. It is dumb politics. Would much rather spend that political capital on the border.

Luckily, that's not what abortion is - and the right to an abortion IS in the Constitution.

ScotUs shouldnt be making national federal law from a state law. And they need to go by the Constitution.

Ie...SCotUS needs to stop diminishing the power of the VotUS

Per SCOTUS and decades of precedent, it's a huge stretch to be anti-choice.

Precedent is not inviolate.

Roe is less than 50 years old. Plessy was older when it was overturned.

Notwithstanding that Roe was a terrible decision with dubious legal reasoning, the science itself requires a revisiting of the decision.

Plus, if you are a true believer in "small f" federalism, then you should believe that this is a matter that should be left to the states (which, as noted, would be the only effect of overturning Roe).
