after knowing Democrats were in favor of slavery, creators of the KKK, opposed civil rights, were all about segregation and against all things "none-white".

The parties flipped after all that. Saying that, I also don't see how the black population can support todays modern white liberals.

At some point in history, democrats where able to flip the narrative. If everyone really knew what the Democratic Party really was, they would no longer exist.

Lyndon Johnson and the Dems were dragged, kicking and screaming, to sign civil rights legislation that a Democrat-controlled senate had filibustered for 75 days. Once it became apparent that LBJ would have to sign it, he and his Democrat buddies all decided to pretend it was their idea all along. It is well known that his remarks shortly after signing the legislation were, "There. That ought to keep those n-----s voting Democrat for the next two hundred years."
This is exactly the same ploy Kamala is using in this election cycle - pretending that no taxes on tips, building the wall, etc. all all her ideas. Nothing has changed about the Democrat party over the last 59 years except that they are more brazen and unapologetic about their duplicity these days.
