I was eating acid and listening to the Dead. I didn’t have time to vote or talk politics.

I was excited about Obama in 08. I was young and naive.

I’ve heard this saying but I never supported lawless homeless encampments, flooding of illegal immigrants with no plan, non citizens voting in our elections etc not at age 20 or now or ever. I was raised with common sense

"Heartless" is a ruse continually thrown out there by the left. Any it is used by them all at any age. Fortunately I was raised in a common sense household that saw past the lib BS many moons ago.

What's hilarious is that at least half of the people posting stuff like this advocate for liberal policies, like tariffs.

I advocate anything that makes sense. There isn't much that liberals and I agree on, and the radical beliefs of liberals make them mentally unstable. That's a fact.

I’ve been conservative my whole life. Registered Republican and for the draft when I turned 18.

I used to understand liberals and respected their views. Now they are all wack jobs.

I was born in 1958 to a generational Democrat family. Back when I was coming of age to vote the Democrat party was the party of blue collar Americans who were trying to get working class Americans decent wages and benefits. When Bill Clinton showed up on Arsenio Hall with his Saxabone I was done with the Democrat party and have not looked back.

The word " liberal" had a completely different meaning when that statement was made. Today, if you are a liberal at any age you are a dumbazz.

There's a lot of truth here^^^ and that's why the Dims/Cultural Marxists understood 80-90 years ago academia was the institution they had to infest so they could indoctrinate the young skulls full of mush.

Yeah, I actually feel I have not changed much. Never a big fan of illicit substances, but back then I was passionate about drug legalization/decriminalization. As a matter of personal freedom. But even then, I realized it was an impractical utopia. But I felt some legal penalties were overly harsh and I don't think I was wrong.

I was "officially" opposed to the death penalty back then. But even then, it was not an important issue to me. Still not convinced it is much of a deterrent (insert cliche "it deters those who get executed!" comment) but I don't care about the issue. And I DEFINITELY did not care about this one back in the day when I voted.

I never blindly screeched "war solves nothing".

I was slightly more receptive to liberal narratives about racism, but not much. Vividly recall age of 18, my (still) best bud marveling "but actually, it's white people who commit far more crime!". "maybe in raw numbers" I thought. But it was obvious to me that the black population outperformed us pale folk.

My opinions on taxation and economics have not changed. I am NO expert, just saying I never bought into the "they should pay their fair share!" horseshite.

Perhaps the only thing that has changed a TINY bit for me is abortion. I still don't want government involved, am very "pro choice". But even at 18, I could understand why somebody might be against it. I thought being "pro life" was absurd, but I could respectfully disagree. Now? I am STILL "pro choice". But, let's say I have *more* respect for why people may be opposed.

And if we talk voting, my first vote in 1996 was Libertarian. Pretty useless, I soon learned. But that's where my heart was.

Apologies for the rambling!

Then I have no heart, lol. I’ve been a conservative my entire life. People in my life often tell me I am very patient and compassionate.
