If you watch Trump's Press Conferences from Europe, its obvious.

1. Trump has turned on Netanyahu.
2. Trump realized there was no way to open the strait.
3. Trump realized no amount of Bombing would help
4. Trump is convinced a prolonged war could trigger a deep recession/ depression.
5. Trump will never, ever resume this shooting war. Regardless of all the talk, he is out for good.
The only thing that could bring him back in is if Iran shuts down Hormuz again. In that case, he would destroy their infrastructure ...and so that is the one thing they wont do.
The war is over.

It was always going to come down to this.

Never seen comments so wrong…
Iran has no Military, their top 3 layers of military are dead. We opened hormuz, not them. Our tax dollars are not being used to repair Iran.

Wow, what koolaid are you drinking?
If your comments possessed any shred of truth then Trump would never have signed that MOU.

The SOH will be a case study in the future. Iran had it but didn’t realize the extent of its power. That is until this war. It’s more valuable than having nukes.

Not really. An easy consensus to destroy the Iranian government would be formed by western and Arab countries after a tanker or two was hurt/destroyed by an attack from Iranian space. Even India and/or China might turn on them.

Projection & assumptions are a thing.
You see what you want to see

The people who know nothing who think they are smarter than everyone else are the most hilarious.

Right…just like dropping some bombs and then expecting Iranian people to arm up and overthrow the regime. Pipe dreams look on paper.

No. This would be vastly different. You wouldn't have France, UK, Italy, etc trying to sit out. There would be international consensus to destroy the Iranian regime, along with a public that was behind it.

If you believe that then I have some swampland in Arizona to sell you.
Our tax dollars will pay for it using a shell game. This was a disastrous war that was totally unnecessary. Trump fails at everything he does. He bent the knee in an effort to save the mid-terms.

Yes. Everything you said is correct.
Trump got hoodwinked by the neocons.
But he’s changed course now.
Just thankful he isn’t making another Iraq or Afghanistan.

He didn't get hoodwinked, he wanted a war he thought would be easy (but he was wrong) for his own ego and stature.

He thought it would be easy because some people were telling him it would be easy.
They same people that were saying the Iranian people were just waiting for someone to help them overthrow their government.
The same people that were saying Iraqis were yearning for freedom back in 2003.

It's hard to keep up with this on this board.

I think the best think Trump did was to show the Europeans and non-China Asia that maybe they should find another source of oil aside from Iran or from any country in the Persian Gulf whom you have to access via the Strait.
Long term, I hope those buyers (aside from China) look elsewhere (such as US, Venezuela, and others) over the long term for their oil needs. This would be a classic macroeconomics case and lessen Iran’s current perceived power over the long term.

He learned just like every POTUS since old man Bush. You can’t reason with cave dwellers.

So all of this was for nothing
