That doesn't mean regulation was put in place to stop something "from happening again".

Soooo....preventing them from happening again....

What does this even mean? Are you saying there are semi-full-auto weapons out there?
Well this line of questioning was contingent on the first, which you skipped:

Do you know Why fully automatics weapons are regulated?
and beyond that its a simple question
quote:yikes. wow that's what you got from a simple question about rate of fire.
Are you saying there are semi-full-auto weapons out there?

No, Rog. That's illegal so people obviously won't do it

Which banning bump stocks does not address.

And if the only reason for having a bump stock is "OMG its FUN"
You need no reason to have something. You do however need a reason for banning it. That's how our legal system is supposed to work anyway.

pretty sure this administration saw that limiting the occurrence of an event like this in the future
Again, which banning bump stocks does not do.

and you would be wrong to think that
Your responses in this thread say otherwise.

What is the difference between a semi and full auto weapon?
Does a bump stock change this difference?

If we're going to regulate semi autos on rate of fire, then we're in for a hell of a regulatory mess

It's not a mess if your ultimate goal is to ban semi-auto weapons.

nah. but you obviously think the homemade version is more reliable than the mod sold in stores. yikes

And they're wrong. But banning bump stocks was never about actually addressing the Las Vegas shooting anyway. Why actually address the problem when you can make a pointless law to make people feel good?

Because it is. I've done both. Granted I haven't done the belt loop method, but rubber bands work just as well as a bump stock.

I agree.
I find it hilarious that the left loves to outlaw all kinds of guns and will charge you with a felony if you possess one but turns right around and says "see, we're not coming for your guns"

This is like saying that banning hoverboards is a public safety imperative
Hoverboards killed dozens of people and wounded hundreds more in a matter of minutes in one spot?
Link, that sounds like quite the story!

Does a bump stock make a semi-auto fire at a rate similar to a semi or a fully auto weapon?
What is the rate of fire of a semi-auto firearm?

Because I can replicate a bump stock with rubber bands.
You could also build a tank out of sheet metal. But you don't, which is much different from being able to go down to the store and buy one.
I agree, it's simple logic you're ignoring here.

If it saves just one life.
I see you avoided the question of what you want to do specifically to make gun laws "common sense"

I don't think you know the definition of a tank...or sheet metal.

It has been shown that Bamaatl doesn't know much about anything so you are on point.
