Why do police have to sit back and accept that?
She isn’t complying, she’s being disrespectful and she could’ve injured someone.
I don’t see any reason why a non lethal option like mace couldn’t be applied to allow the police to safely and reasonably go about their day while removing her from the street.
What if someone gets robbed and the police can’t respond because they’re patiently waiting for this mental patient to finish up screaming her lungs out?
If someone doesn’t reasonably comply record it, mace them, cuff them and haul them off to jail or a mental health intake facility (which we need to reinstate).
