I choose to believe that God has a plan to restore this country, and is using Trump to accomplish it, rather than believe a lot of random good things happening.

Bro, I'm an atheist too. But it's so awkward to watch other non believers shite on people for having faith. I promise man, they aren't going to force you to go to church.
I am hardly ever the person to argue with people about their religious beliefs. But the weird fricking thought pattern of “God Saved Trump and Trump is acting out God’s plan!” That is going on in this thread has to be acknowledged as insane.

God has nothing to do with it. I’m twice wounded and did four deployments overseas seen stuff no one should see. Currently have a good friend who’s young son just lost his battle with cancer at ten years old. If God is real that’s a cruel SOB.

Voted for Trump ... God doesn't exist ... at least not the God of any of the major religions with their fantastical stories and what-not. There may be something out there that I don't understand that is beyond human comprehension, though.

What about the two people who died?
Posted on 2/5/25 at 9:32 pm to Smeg
The dead guy the bullet hit proves God exists. Not just any god, but the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob and the bullet proves God sent his son to die as a sacrifice so his blood magic can let God forgive people for their sins that they were doomed to do because God made it that way, because God can’t forgive without someone having to die, even if he has to kill himself.

There were multiple assassination attempts on Hitler too.....I guess it was God's providence protecting him as well.....

Spot on, Kafka. This kind of perfection is the result of divine intervention.

Yeah but couldnt God have just prevented the whole assassination scenario from happening altogether? Why does God like to frick around and be right on the edge with such things.
God will not stop us from making that decision. Sometimes "good people" suffer as a result
But we are told that it rains on the just and the unjust, and that all people sin and thus fall short of the glory of God. So there are really no "good people" among us. Just varying degrees of bad decision makers. For that we must "die" daily
For him to have stopped the assassin, means he cant judge the kid who attempted it. Nor could he judge Hitler if he stopped his actions. Just as he didnt stop Eve or Cain or David

Your belief that God doesn’t exist is as strong my belief that he does. I am totally ok with your position. I hope one day you may alter your view on his existence. Very best of luck to you in your journey through this life!

They didnt stop most of the bad things you did either. They just punished you after. Sorry you had pointless parents. It certainly shows in your posts
