Yes. There is probably more waste, fraud, and abuse in the DoD budget and its procurement processes than the rest of the government combined. The fricking Navy just spent almost $50 billion building three Zumwalt class destroyers that don't even have a primary armament because the procurement of the ammunition was cancelled.

So they are now dumping more money into retrofitting them to carry hypersonic missiles. Not to mention the LCS program that gave us a couple dozen ships that can't do anything useful besides act as a ferry and scare off pirates in bass boats.

There is a TON of room to cut Defense's budget without decreasing effectiveness or capability whatsoever.
