If you are serious about stopping gun deaths, how can you leave handguns untouched?

ANY serious policy that seeks to reduce the number of people killed by guns in a statistically significant manner needs to address the guns used in 90% of shootings

Yet you almost never see them argue to regulate handguns

It's akin to wanting a seatbelt law but only having it apply to luxury vehicles

REPEAL THE SECOND!!!

Oddly enough, why don't I ever see this called for?

Because they aren’t serious about it. It’s pure virtue signaling.

I have 20+ guns and think guns should be more stringently regulated.
The problem is that guns used in crimes are most often stolen or otherwise unregistered.

I say this every shooting.

A ban and confiscation on handguns would have a significant impact on gun deaths. That's one of only a few gun-side measures that would make a legitimate difference.

And Americans don't want it, so it's just the same stupid emotional rants every time.

Because liberals aren't serious about it.

They see gun owners as white Christian conservatives. It's the ONLY reason they're for gun control.

We need to get criminals to stop breaking laws.

Because more laws is definitely going to help that.

Because they don't know shite. Some congressman on Hannity's radio show kept wanting to know if the shooter had a high caliber gun.

You can't have conversations about this stuff with imbeciles like you. You're like a toy where you pull a string and get a programmed response.

The whole point of saying that about a nationwide ban/confiscation is precisely because anything less would leave open "Chicagos" whereby guns can easily flow from places where they are still common/easily obtainable. Hence, a total ban and confiscation would likely be required.

I'm hmming because someone who owns 20 guns doesn't make comments about registration.

Gun deaths. But not violent deaths.

That's the part you don't understand.

You think banning guns will magically make all the gang violence in inner cities disappear?

You're so precious

I agree. Events like this are becoming more normal and we just have to accept that it is just of our culture and go on about our business. Its similar to hearing about a bus crash resulting in a dozen or two dead people because the driver hadn't slept in 24 hours.

People who are so patterned for stupidity that they can't spot people on their side of an issue are hilarious.
