The internet is much, much bigger than twitter and Facebook and google.
I’m not sure I agree with this especially when you include Apple and Amazon.
How do you navigate the internet while avoiding the Big 5? They have a monopoly and the worst part is they all collude with each other.

You are such a clown. Hes saying people like you that support this shite are a threat because you would no doubt support the government suppressing their views as well.
That makes no sense, dumbass

How did asians jump on this “oppression” wagon?

All he said is youre a threat to the first amendment. He didnt say this violates it. You people are so dishonest. How is it wrong to say the people that support twitter censoring him would no doubt support the government doing the same?

But I don’t think it’s the government’s job to protect the American electorate from their own ignorance.
I agree with you. I think we do too much now to protect idiots from themselves and think we need to let some natural selection come into play more so we are on the same page, but I do find it a little threatening that these companies are openly and actively colluding against conservatives.
Again, I don't have the answer so I am really just venting and pointing out the hypocrites or the people like Buckeye that pretend to be intellectuals by constantly playing both sides of the fence while never saying anything of substance.

Read my OP again, idiot. I clearly said I don't support regulation.

Here is what people who support twitters silencing don't get. Eventually the thought police will come for your ideas as well. So while your ideas may be supported at the moment doesn't mean it's going to stay that way. Governments who suppress speech never get less restrictive. It's a sad path we are on but at the same time in the information age with the explosion of social media it's a lot more noticeable than it was in the days of paper and pen.

Lol yeah cause the same people supporting twitter censoring jones definitely support a bakers right to refuse service to a gay couple. You arent supporting a private business. Youre supporting the censoeship of a view you dont like. Twitter does have the right to do this but dont sit there and act like everyone excited about it is just supporting that and not the act of censoring conservative viewpoints.

Absolutely. We have seen time and time again here lately the left eating their own. It'll get worse as they continue to be OK with the road we are on.
There is one good sign and that is that Facebook is losing users due to trust issues and the report showed it was not due to any partisan issues. I saw a story about it yesterday.

That response was to an idiot
I'm not sure what the OP is about, though. I can tell you it's not a first amendment matter. I guess you're just saying it's not fair.

Everyone gets it. Most people just aren't going to clutch their pearls over it.

Ah, our old friend the Slippery Slope. Useful when you don't want to actually support your position with verifiable information or examples.

Governments who suppress speech
It's a good thing Twitter isn't the government.
Why do you want to suppress their right to run their business as they see fit? You have no expectation of free speech on their platform, and you never should.

Bout to eat with the fam so I’ll check in later, but I hear you.
I think we’re entering uncharted territory with the rise of social media and the ease with which both information and disinformation flows. Check out the CGI they can do now with making politicians say anything they want. It’s scary and it’s a game changer in regards to the veracity of information.
I think there will need to be some sort of regulatory framework around all of this in the future, but I’m still trying to think about the shape it should take.
You’re not wrong at all in what you’ve said, but I think the regulation will have to be more complex and multi-faceted than simply placing these forums under some government agency.
