Someone should remind this to the southern folks who like to try and insult the northerners that they are losing population in the Midwest and northeast and that they are heading down south. Yeah and they act like it’s such a great thing lol. What do people think is gonna happen?

When have the Chinese ever taken over another country just to spread communism?

Their claims on Taiwan, the Indian border, Hong Kong, Macao and others all have credible bases in historical presence. These places have all been “Chinese” at one point. It’s fair to argue that these do not justify trying to reclaim them, but it’s not like they are trying to take over Japan, Korea, Vietnam, etc.

Now, you can argue that they are doing something similar with economic colonialism, but that’s a very different thing.

Hell, the Chinese are not even all that communist these days.

As for comparing them to Russians, they have a VERY different worldviews. The Russians have felt under attack for centuries (Napoleon, Hitler, etc.) and that frames their paranoia (eg, Ukraine to NATO). They want buffer states and that drove Stalin’s post-WWII strategy.

The Chinese generally just want to not be victims like they were for so long. I’ve never met a PRC native that expressed any ambition or desires similar to the Soviets.

Need to split 3 ways. Texas needs to go it alone.
