If Trump wins , will he actually shut down the immigration flow?

Just landed at DIA and I feel like I am in South America. Multiple Venezulens loitering around the airport.
Harrowing.
If Trump wins (inshallah) will he actually execute on deporting the bulk of the 20 mil illegals and restrict all immigration into the country?
I would propose
setting up North Korean style DMZ on the border with landmines . Militarise the border patrol. Would boost defense industry (no silly more foreign wars) and allow our tech companies to test AI- weapons against anyone who attempts to breach the border . Declare war on illegal immigration
Only allow legal immigration (1M per year) from the following areas
- EU Citizens
- Japan
-South Korea
- Thailand
- Singapore
- Australia
-New Zealand
-Canada
additionally Christian refugees who are being persecuted in Africa and the middle east and asia shall be allowed admittance but will never receive full citizenship

I think he’s going to stop the flow, but there is no way he is going to be able to chase down and deport.

The ones that control this administration have done irreversible damage to the country. It would take centuries to recover just with the migration already here, even if it was stopped in 2025.

This leaves immigration as the only big ticket issue where real change can come about. But I have to raise the question about how much can be done in four years if Trump enters the White House and has to deal with Congress, and deal with lawfare trying to halt any changes that he would seek regarding immigration. Does his team have a strategy in place that will allow them to hit the ground running right away? Is there a strategy to avoid legal challenges? How much can be done via executive actions?
Steve Bannon said something in either late 2015 or 2016 that has stuck with me ever since: that it would take 20 years of consecutive victories in order to reform the system. This means 20 years of wins at the highest level in order to be able to gut the federal bureaucracy/Deep State and make actual change possible. This makes perfect sense to me. I am aware of the Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025, but is it doable?

He's going to whatever he said he will do.
The left will fight it tooth and nail.
WIll he overcome them? Depends on down ballot results.

The Dems will file lawsuits all over the country, trying to get far left whackjob politicized judges to issue temporary injunctions. However, there is one thing he can do that I don’t think they can really touch because they would have no authority – cut off the funding. If the states and sanctuary cities aren’t getting the money from the federal government to pay for all this fricking bullshite, these illegal fricking animals are going to go home on their own.

Yes.
He has an actual record of doing just that.

Trump let in anywhere from 3 to 6 million last time. While ‘lower’ than Biden that’s still absolutely total failure. No President Administration has been able to ‘slow’ it in 45 years. It’s basically an open border no matter who is in charge. Border needs to be completely shutdown permanently to human crossings. We have 30 to 40 million low iq illegal immigrants here already that is plenty. Btw - not a single one of those that has spit out a baby on American soil will ever be deported.

It is truly sickening what this administration (whoever is running the show) has done to this country....all in order to get more votes. Disgusting.

LMAO......you are spit balling 3 million. You have no clue, just like you have no clue how many have came over the last 4 years. So basically, you are saying this administration let in 75% more than Trump....but since some came in under Trump...all is equal. Build the damn wall. EOD.

He will build a wall and Mexico will pay for it!
To answer the OP, No. he didn’t pass any legislation and didn’t do mass deportations when he was in office before.
And there isn’t much a president can do. The laws need to be updated. And what legislation has been passed by the House to curb immigration? None. It’s all a divisive talking point. Nobody ever does anything about it. Expect more of the same.

Leftists are beaten when they resort to the "both sides" horse shite.
He will do better than the democrats. That is all that matters.

He’ll stop the flow in. Deporting is tricky

You don't have to chase them down... Make it where it is not beneficial for them to be here and deport the criminals you catch... They will self deport...

I believe it can be done thusly:
1. Stop actively bringing in people at taxpayer expense.
2. Implement policies that remove the incentives to come and stay here, which will cause a lot of these people to leave on their own.
3. Deportation.
I don't agree that it's impossible. We hear stuff like this all the time from the establishment and it's bullshite. It can and should be done. Israel is showing the world how efficient a nation can be at serving its own interests when it disregards all the political bullshite and just executes a plan that does in fact serve its own interests. Whatever it might cost to deport 10 million people will be far cheaper than the long term cost of allowing them to stay here.

Courts will likely stop him unfortunately.
All these bogus asylum claims have court dates many years down the road.
Hopefully he can get the criminals out more efficiently and reinstate " Remain in Mexico" for the new asylum seekers.

Exactly.
Cut off their food and housing and they will leave or get shot trying to steal it.

No one comes in until, the illegal's already here are deported.

Ignore the law and send them back anyways. I’m 60 and give very few fricks anymore; I can only imagine how grand it will be at 80.
