None of us are saying he can't be impeached, it just doesn't get him out of office as the OP is saying.

Once Trump is Impeached in the House. The Senate can vote on Disqualification from future public office after the Democrats take control of the Senate on January 20th.
Disqualification from future public office only requires a Simple Majority of the Senate and not a 2/3 majority as is the case of Conviction and removal from office.
Legal experts have said that this lower standard means the Senate can bar Trump from running for President for the rest of his life with only a Simple Majority once he is impeached in the House.
