If overthrowing South American thugs means I can enjoy going to major cities again without fent zombies everywhere, then it's a small campaign promise I can let slide.

Unless he's trying to take out ports in Mexico, you'll still be able to get your fentanyl.

The definition of war changed 9/12/2001

It's different when Trump does it.

I’ll give you a pass and a plane ticket to move to EU

You can't predict the volition of Campaign promises. If Russia invaded Alaska tomorrow would " No New Wars " still apply?

Or does he get a pass because the fentanyl crisis is existential?
This keeps being said like the fent comes from Venezuela

POTUS Trump immediately after the oath of office began gathering info on everything south of the border related to drugs. Of course, they already knew about the 2020 election issue emanating from Venezuela.
It will be glorious. MSM will be furious due to its success.

He isn’t declaring war. How gullible are you to keep falling for fake news?

Last I checked, presidents can not declare war.

What war has happened since that day?

Jan 20, 2025. Then someone flipped a "warhawk"] switch.
In case you aren't paying attention, here's a reminder of what the "peace President's" 2025 has looked like:
1) Trump promised to end the Ukraine War. He not only did NOT end it, breaking his campaign promise, he's authorized sending tens of billions of dollars in additional American aid and war materiel; AND also authorized military covert ops against Russia.
2) The US bombed the hell out of Iraq
3) The US participated in the demolition of Gaza.
4) Conducted military strikes against Somalia
5) Conducted military strikes against Yemen
6) Threatened military action in Nigeria
7) Sent troops into the Panama Canal to occupy it
8) Started a de facto war on Venezuela
9) Threatened Columbia with possible military operations
10) Bandied about a loose plan and action to possibly occupy and take control of Greenland
All told that's NINE sovereign nations feeling the brunt of US military aggression or threats just since January 20.
Some supporters will no doubt justify every single instance of US threat or strikes, but ALL of the above actions are indeed "warhawk" actions and form of terrorism. We NEVER saw this this "switch flipped" during Trump 1.0.

No.
But they can create the grounds for an eventual war or light the fuse if they want.
The "War Powers Resolution" requires a president to notify Congress within 48 hours of introducing US armed forces into hostilities. It generally prohibits combat beyond 60 days without either a declaration of war or specific statutory authorization (according to Congress.gov ).

Like I said, what war? Strikes and operations go on 365 days a year under any President. Those are not wars.

Strike and ops 365 days a year don't mean they are justified either. Who the hell do those who run these Imperial US military op think they are working for?
We can play semantics all day, but when people are being killed in hot military operations, armadas have sailed off coasts, life-blood trade is embargoed, national trade is strangled, interrupted, and one military is boarding foreign ship like pirates, IT. IS. WAR. By any other name.
